série Paisagem Assistida

Esta série de trabalhos é constituída de desenhos com caneta de retroprojetor sobre acrílico. Estes desenhos têm como referência cartões postais, posters e fotografias de páginas de jornal e livros, onde estão retratados pontos turísticos. 

As imagens referência dos desenhos estão anexas por baixo da placa de acrílico. Este trabalho é um híbrido entre a fotografia e o desenho, uma combinação destes dois, constituindo uma nova imagem, que depende de ambos.

Como o desenho acontece sobre uma placa de acrílico, ao invés de diretamente sobre a imagem, ele "flutua" por sobre a imagem, como se fosse a "aura perdida" das imagens técnicas reprodutíveis, conforme observado por Walter Benjamin, no célebre ensaio "A Obra de Arte na Era de Sua Reprodutibilidade Técnica". 

Este trabalho, de uma forma nostálgica, devolve à imagem reproduzida aos milhares, cansada, gasta, que já circulou infinitamente, a possibilidade de integrar o mundo dos objetos auráticos, dos objetos únicos.
 

Assisted Landscape

Assisted Landscape is a series of works where drawings are made with permanent ink pen on acrylic. These drawings have postcards, posters and photographs from news paper, magazines and books as reference, where touristy landmarks or landscapes are portraied.

The images used as reference are fixed under the acrylic plate. This work is a hybrid between the photograph and the drawing, a combination of these two, constituting a new image, that depends on both.

As the drawing is on an acrylic plate, instead of directly on the image, it "floats" over the image, as it was the "lost aura" of the reproductive technical images, as observed by Walter Benjamin, in his well known essay "the Work of art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction". 

This work, in a nostalgic way, returns to an image that has been reproduced to the thousands, an tired image, that has already circulated infinitely, the possibility to rejoin the world of the auric objects ("objects with "aura").
