Análise do conteúdo estomacal de Fábio Carvalho no período de 04/04/95 a 18/04/95

O trabalho se constitui de um vídeo com imagens de todos os alimentos consumidos pelo artista num período de 15 dias.

A galeria em que este trabalho foi apresentado possui um problema peculiar: ela é separada do restaurante anexo por portas envidraçadas. Da galeria é possível observar toda a atividade do restaurante. Incorporando esta interferência ao trabalho, o monitor foi colocado de costas para as portas envidraçadas, que passaram então a funcionar como uma interface entre a galeria e o restaurante, criando-se uma ligação conceitual através do assunto "alimentos".

Analysis of the Stomachal Contents of Fábio Carvalho from 04/04/95 to 04/18/95

Video with images of all the food consumed by the artist in a period of 15 days.

The gallery where this piece has been shown for the first time had this peculiar problem: it was separated of the restaurant by large glass doors. From the gallery we could watch all that was happening in the restaurant. Incorporating this interference to the work, the TV screen was located in front to the glass doors, facing them back. The doors became a interface between the exhibition space and the restaurant, thus creating a conceptual link through the subject of the work (food).
