Fábio Carvalho articula um circuito multimídia - fotografia, vídeo e informática - para questionar justamente o quanto o desenvolvimento tecnológico e científico contemporâneo tem colaborado para a alienação do sujeito, colocando seu estatuto em crise ao ambicionar a criação de um corpo artificialmente programável.

Suas manobras caracterizam-se por uma atitude desmistificadora, que investe na possibilidade de exibir os momentos de colapso desses programas e a vertiginosidade de seus meios.

Carvalho é um ávido seqüestrador que captura imagens e textos de revistas, jornais, internet e anúncios publicitários, como também apropria-se de imagens de seu próprio corpo e de anônimos, para reexpô-las perversamente em complexas reflexões sobre a reversibilidade espaço-temporal promovida pelos dispositivos técnicos; sobre os cruzamentos da ciência com a indústria e com o espetáculo; sobre a impossibilidade de se dar uma identidade verídica ao sujeito e de se obter um índice verdadeiro do real.

(...) Fábio Carvalho articulates a multimedia circuit - photograph, video and computer science - to question exactly how much the contemporary technological and scientific development has collaborated for the alienation of the individual, placing its statute in crisis when pursuing ambitiously the creation of an artificially programmable body.

His maneuvers are characterized by a desmystifying attitude, that invests in the possibility of showing the moments of collapse of these programs and the vertiginousity of its ways.

Carvalho is an avid kidnapper who captures pictures and texts from magazines, newspapers, Internet and TV adds, as well he appropriate pictures of his own body and of anonymous, for re-expose them perversely in complex reflections on the reversibility space-temporal promoted by the technical devices; on the crossing of science with the industry and the spectacle; on the impossibility of providing a veracious identity to the individual and of obtaining a true index of the Real.
